A Long History
We are often asked about the history of the building. Through research and luck we know the home was originally built by Harold and Irene Sparling in approximately 1935.
The Sparling Family
The Sparlings were born in 1896, and 1895, respectively. Dr Harold Sparling served in the Navy in world War I, and Army in World War II, and the Korean Conflict. His wife, Dr Irene Sparling, operated a joint medical practice in Northville from 1925.
They built there home which was completed in the mid-thirties and lived there with their daughter Carol Ann and Majorie.
The Corriveau Family
As its current stewards we take great pride in maintaining its original beauty both inside and out and have received the Certificate of Beautification for several years running.
